Software Introduction
SideFX Houdini FX 19.5 is a 3D animation software that focuses on PolyDraw’s live modeling system, including dynamic simulation and rendering. Houdini FX combines physical realistic animation tools with outstanding performance for VFX Artists to create feature films or commercials. Houdini’s node-based procedural workflow allows you to produce more content in less time while enjoying enhanced flexibility.
HoudiniFX is a powerful 3D application with a procedural workflow. It also provides tools for fluids, pyro FX, grain, canvas, and crowd simulation.
SideFX Houdini FX 19.5 Features
Physics Simulation and VFX
HoudiniFX combines physical realistic animation tools with outstanding performance for VFX Artists to create feature films or commercials. Houdini’s node-based procedural workflow allows you to produce more content in less time while enjoying enhanced flexibility.
Houdini’s particle and dynamic environment makes it perfect for Visual Effects Artists and Technical Directors. Houdini includes all CORE tools for a complete toolkit, including lighting, animation, and procedural modeling.
PYRO FX
Pyro FX makes fire and smoke simulations more realistic and faster. It also makes them easier to set up. Houdini’s speed has increased significantly, allowing more repetitions. GPU emulation is a game changer, and volume rendering has improved dramatically.
Water & Liquids
Use forces like surface tension, viscosity, and viscoelasticity to create realistic simulations. The granular liquid is raised to a higher geometrical level in order to produce a high-quality splash liquid. Fluid force can then be used to create an effect of white water.
The particle tools allow you to create a variety of particles, such as dust, debris, or flocks of birds. They work by creating a network of nodes that are made up of forces, sources, and substances. Gravity and colliding objects.
Bullet Rigid Body Dynamics
Bullet Rigid Body is a solver that allows you to simulate large datasets in Houdini. Both this solver and Houdini’s own solver use various forces, collisions, constraints, and constraints to control the simulation.
Solids
The Finite Element Solver analyzes the stresses of an object and then bends or breaks them. The FEM solver can be used to simulate soft-body effects while preserving volume. This solver brings digital destruction simulation and slimy objects up to date.
Fabric & Hair
The VELLUM multi-solder adds FAST fabric and other built-in effects to Houdini, including hair, mollusks, and grains. The Vellum solver uses GPU acceleration and is very easy to use.
Sand & Snow
Location-based dynamics (LBD) is a multiphysics environment that’s ideal for generating both wet and dried sand. VELLUM or PBD solvers are available on either CPU or GPU via OpenCL. Artists can also create plates or solids in addition to sand to simulate soft bodies, cloth, and strings.
CLOUD with Rag Doll Dynamics
Crowd Tools combines artist-friendly shelf tools with native agents and Finite State Machine solvers. It also includes layout control crowd control (doll dynamics), collision avoidance, terrain adaption, motion matching, and the -at-target interface.
